Eric Rukebesha is a dedicated agricultural professional with a Bachelor of Science in Conservation Agriculture from the Rwanda Institute for Conservation Agriculture (RICA) in Rwanda.

His academic journey has equipped him with hands-on experience in crop production, farm management, agribusiness development, agricultural oriented research, environmental conservation, product development, and marketing with a strong emphasis on conservation, one-health principles, leadership, and entrepreneurship.

Eric holds a certificate in Dairy Production and Management from Penn State University's College of Agricultural Sciences. His studies there included genetic data collection, feed production, animal nutrition, health management, and artificial insemination which reinforced his research capabilities.

He has a profound enthusiasm for research and this is evident in his various academic and professional journey. His commitment to research and development is aimed at conserving natural resources (water and soil) in order to improve farmer’s productivity and biodiversity.

Eric is currently pursuing a post graduate in Seed Technology and Business which mainly deals with plant breeding programs, field seed production, seed testing and inspection as well as business development oriented to seed sector. In addition to his academic and professional achievements, his recognized for his strong organizational, communication, and digital skills.

He has experience in Microsoft Office tools, ArcGIS, and Minitab and has also participated in workshops on biotechnology and climate negotiation. His an active member of several agricultural and environmental networks, continually seeking to expand his research horizons and contribute to sustainable agricultural practices.
