Dr. Kajubi Richard is a Medical Doctor, Research Scientist, and Project Management professional with over twelve years experience in clinical research, focusing on tropical infectious diseases and clinical trials management.
His academic credentials include a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management, and a Master of Public Health (MPH). He is currently pursuing a Master of Pharmacology, a postgraduate diploma in Clinical Research and Regulatory Affairs (CRP3.0), and the Trainer International course in Research Tools & Software in Biostatistics.
Dr. Kajubi’s professional journey includes serving as a Clinical Research and Development Fellow with the World Health Organization's Special Program for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (WHO/TDR). This fellowship enhanced his skills in pharmacovigilance, implementation science, epidemiology, leadership, and management in global health.
Additionally, he has received extensive training in the fundamentals of global health research in which gained significant experience in clinical trials management, overseeing projects from conception to completion, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining high ethical standards.
His expertise in tropical infectious diseases positions him at the forefront of efforts to combat these health challenges, leveraging his deep understanding of epidemiological patterns and intervention strategies. In his roles, he excelled in strategic planning, resource allocation, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
His interdisciplinary approach, combining medical knowledge, research acumen, and project management skills, allow him to lead cross-functional teams effectively and drive impactful health initiatives. He has previously served as a Study Coordinator at the Infectious Disease Research Collaboration and currently serves as a Senior Clinical Trial Manager at Malaria Consortium Uganda.
