Blessings is a fourth Year student pursuing a degree in Tourism Management at Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS). He has developed a strong foundation in the principles and practices of the tourism industry.
His academic journey has encompassed a diverse range of subjects, including sustainable tourism, hospitality management, travel and tour operations, and destination marketing. These courses have equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of the tourism sector's complexities and its significant economic, social, and environmental impacts.
Throughout his studies, he has consistently demonstrated academic excellence, achieving high grades in key modules and his passion for tourism is reflected in his active participation in various academic projects and research initiatives. He has applied this theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios.
This hands-on experience has honed his analytical and problem-solving skills, preparing him to tackle challenges within the dynamics of the tourism industry. In addition to his academic pursuits, he is the General Secretary for the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) at MUBAS.
This role has afforded him the opportunity to develop and showcase his leadership and organizational abilities. As General Secretary, he is responsible for coordinating meetings, managing communication among council members, and ensuring that students’ concerns and initiatives are effectively addressed.
His involvement in the SRC has enhanced his skills in teamwork, negotiation, and conflict resolution: All of which are invaluable in both academic and professional settings. He has been noted for successfully organizing campus-wide events that promote student engagement and community building.
These events have fostered a vibrant campus culture and provided platforms for students to express their ideas and talents. Therefore his academic background in Tourism Management coupled with his leadership experience as General Secretary of the SRC, has equipped him with a well-rounded skill set.
