Kabagenyi Oliyer is a student at mbarara university of science and technology pursuing a bachelor's degree in medicine and surgery, currently in my final year. She has dedicated much of her time to attending various health camps and learning new skills.

Kabagenyi’s passion for positively impacting the community through health has driven her to seek out these opportunities. Throughout her academic journey, she has participated in several conferences, which have broadened her understanding and fueled her interest in research.

Specifically, she is fascinated by diseases whose spread can be controlled, such as HIV. This interest has led her to focus on understanding how they can better manage and prevent such diseases.

She is grateful for the chance to visit different health camps across the country. These experiences have allowed her to see firsthand challenges and successes in public health initiatives. Each camp has taught her valuable lessons and deepened her commitment to making a difference in the health sector.

Kabagenyi has also pursued formal education to enhance her research skills, she has attended several short courses on research methodologies and writing, including programs like ACSRM ( African Community of Systematic Reviews and Meta analysis) from which she received a number of certificates. These courses have equipped her with the knowledge and tools necessary to conduct effective and impactful research.

As she continues her journey, she’s excited to keep learning and growing. Her goal is to contribute meaningfully to public health through research and community engagement. She is determined to soar to new heights, using her skills and knowledge to help control the spread of diseases and improve the overall health of communities
