Being part of the Research & Project Implementation class by Trainer International 2024 allows me to engage with diverse topics and learn from various perspectives.

I’m grateful to be learning alongside motivated learners together we will explore new frontiers in research and technology.

The Exposure to different fields will broaden my horizons and also Collaborating with students from various disciplines to foster creativity.

Banda holds a degree in Social Work, which has equipped him with a solid foundation in understanding human behavior, social systems, and community dynamics.

In Banda’s academic journey, he has consistently demonstrated his passion for social justice and commitment to improve the well-being of vulnerable populations. He worked at Salima District Council as a District Social Welfare Officer Intern.

During his two-year internship, he worked closely with the Ministry of Gender, Community Development and Social Welfare. His responsibilities included; assessing the needs of marginalized communities, coordinating social programs, and advocating for policy changes.

He collaborated with local NGOs, community leaders and other stakeholders to address issues related to poverty, child protection and gender equality. He actively participated in community outreach programs, conducting workshops on health, education and social rights in which he promoted awareness about social welfare policies and encouraged community members to access available resources.

Banda has passion for research as was able to conduct research on topics such as poverty alleviation, mental health, and social inclusion. Through using statistical tools during his research, he analyzed data to form evidence-based decisions.

His collaboration with NGOs and Government Agencies such as Village Partnerships and Center for Education Research & Training contributed to their community development initiatives. Through these partnerships, he gained insights into program design, implementation, and impact assessment.

He has been Inspired by his experiences to pursue a master’s degree in Public Policy, Biostatistics or Governance and Public Policy and his eager to contribute to policy formulation, social justice advocacy, and systemic change.

In summary, his academic journey and practical experiences have shaped him into a dedicated social worker with a strong commitment to making a positive impact on society. He looks forward to furthering his education in order to contribute to meaningful policy reforms.
