He holds a bachelor’s degree in public health with a track record of impactful work in water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) initiatives, along with a commitment to evidence-based decision-making. He is currently working as a WASH Assistant at Lutheran World Federation, Kiryandongo Refugee Settlement, he has been actively involved in evaluating the relevance and appropriateness of WASH programming in the local context.

Jairus played a key role in preparing WASH proposals, activity plans, monitoring and evaluation systems. Additionally, his responsibilities include collaborating with various stakeholders, engaging in community education, and supervising project teams in the field. Previously, as a Public Health Assistant at Nsamizi UNHCR, Kyangwali Refugee Settlement, he successfully managed public health promotion activities, coordinated with community leaders, and implemented hygiene practices.

He facilitated community problem identification, developed a memorandum of understanding, and conducted training sessions for community-based technicians, demonstrating ability to drive impactful community initiatives.

He has worked as a research assistant with mWater mapping water points and Aquaya in water quality testing and water point mapping. Also worked as a Research Assistant at RRL, Kampala, where he gained valuable experience in concept and proposal development, dissertation writing, and data analysis.
