Christopher Sibanda is a dedicated professional with a passion for fostering peace and social justice in Africa. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Mulungushi University, Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Luska.Christopher's academic journey laid the foundation for his commitment to understanding and addressing the root causes of conflict on the continent.
During his time at Bemarnas Trading Limited, Christopher served as a Company Manager, where he honed his leadership skills and gained practical experience in problem resolution, decision-making, and team management. His ability to motivate and empower teams was evident as he successfully guided his colleagues towards achieving organizational objectives.
Christopher's dedication to community empowerment led him to join the Jesuits Centre for Theological Reflections (JCTR) as a program officer. Here, he spearheaded initiatives such as the urban basic needs basket survey and Satellite Homes Survey, shedding light on the socio-economic challenges facing communities and advocating for inclusive approaches to address them.
Driven by a thirst for knowledge and a desire to make a difference, Christopher served as a Researcher at Action Aid Zambia, where he conducted in-depth studies to increase understanding in specific fields and presented findings to diverse audiences.
Additionally, his participation in the USAID Civic Engagement Leadership/Internship provided him with valuable insights into community engagement strategies and the importance of stakeholder collaboration in conflict resolution efforts. Christopher is also a Yali alumnus with a certificate in public management and governance Christopher's journey is characterized by a steadfast commitment to leveraging his skills and experiences to contribute to peacebuilding initiatives across Africa.
With a keen understanding of conflict dynamics and a proven track record of driving positive change, Christopher continues to advocate for sustainable peace and social cohesion on the continent.
