Solange graduated from Makerere University in 2022 and her dedication to promoting health and well-being, particularly among vulnerable populations set the tone for her career.

Throughout her professional journey, she has remained steadfast in this commitment. Solange’s journey into the realm of research was initially sparked by exploration of her academic study on Birth Preparedness and Complications Readiness among adolescent pregnant mothers at Kawempe National Referral Hospital, Uganda.

The positive reception and appreciation from various professionals for the abstract, ignited a deep-seated aspiration for research within her. She desires that if solutions already exist, she would innovate such solutions to current challenges.

Therefore, Trainer International aligns ideally with her vision for making impactful contributions to global research endeavors. As a nurse and life skills instructor at Rwanda Girls Initiative , she’s passionate about imparting the fundamental medical knowledge and life skills like SRHR, GBV and mental health that are vital to their overall growth. By interacting with young minds, growth- and resilience-oriented environment.

She leads comprehensive SRHR programs in schools where safe spaces for girls are created. Additionally, she mentors Girl Up Club , promote Anti-Drug and anti-AIDS campaigns, and work to positively impact the lives of adolescents and youths.

Solange is excited to expand her knowledge in the health sciences and fascinated by the scholarship's endless possibilities. She views this curriculum as a unique opportunity which emphasizes research methodology and state-of-the-art biostatistics technologies as exactly a stepping stone to her academic objectives.

She anticipates utilizing immersive learning in this exceptional program to address pressing health challenges and contribute to global research initiatives. She aims to bridge the gap in published data in Rwanda and contribute viably to Trainer International’s mission of delivering credible and authentic information.

She is eager to continue her research journey with a vision to impact healthcare in Rwanda and globally. As a catalyst for change, one that prospers in a commitment to foster peace, development, and better health outcomes through rigorous and impactful research.
